The Academy House System divides students and their families into teams or communities, called "houses," that compete and cooperate, promoting a sense of belonging, community, school spirit, and fun! Each house has a name, color scheme, and crest, and a unique culture. The four houses are named for two mammals and two birds common in Southeast Wisconsin: the Bear since Mukwonago means "place of the bear" in Ojibwa, Fox because of the beautiful Fox River that runs through our backyard, Crane because of the Sandhill Cranes prevalent on our campus, and Eagle because of the proud Bald Eagle, a frequently seen resident of the Southern Kettle Moraine. The system works in various ways, including earning points for positive behaviors, participating in competitions both academic and athletic, developing leadership skills, forming friendships and building community. House systems are common in Commonwealth Schools (i.e., The UK, Canada, Australia, etc.) They are also found in many Catholic schools. See examples below to learn more.

The House Tournament will run all school year long and will consist of athletic and intellectual competitions along with conduct and other measures that are tied in. The House with the most points at the end wins the Perseverance Cup!
